JUNEAU - One of Juneau's oldest traditions, the 55th annual Ski Sale, sponsored by the Juneau Ski Club and Juneau Ski Patrol, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Hall.
New and used winter gear - from skis, snowboards, boots, poles and helmets, to skates, snowshoes, clothing and other outdoor equipment - will be on sale. Admission costs $2. Kids 12 and under are free. Tickets are available at the door.
The Juneau Ski Club will have information about its ski racing programs and will take registrations, as will the Juneau Ski Patrol. For those not lucky enough to win the door prize of an Eaglecrest season pass, Eaglecrest staff will be selling lift passes and taking photos for passes.
Equipment needing repair or work at the Eaglecrest Ski Shop also can be dropped off at the sale.
People wanting to sell items can bring them to Centennial Hall from 5 to 8 p.m. today; 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday. All unsold items must be picked up between 4 and 5 p.m. Saturday. For more information, visit www.juneauskisale.org.
