Juneau resident Virginia Beaumont Post died Nov. 3, 2009, in Bartlett Hospital in Juneau. She was 62.
Born May 24, 1916, in Pasadena, Calif., in her grandmother's home, she was employed by Alaska Coastal Airlines and CPA. She also worked for the Douglas city clerk from 1956 to 1970. When the City and Borough of Juneau took over Douglas, she continued to work for CBJ until her retirement in 1981.
She was involved in many organizations such as the Juneau Business and Professional Women's Club, Soroptimist International, Gastineau Philatelic Society, Pioneers Women Igloo #6, Gastineau Channel Historical Society and Chapel by the Lake.
