Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

Police responded at 5:13 a.m. today to DeHart's Auke Bay store where a man was seen climbing from a broken window. Alcohol and cigarettes were stolen.

A man reported at 9:38 a.m. Tuesday from Glacier Avenue that his cell phone was stolen.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A woman reported at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday from North Douglas Highway that her mailbox was shot with what appeared to be a high-caliber weapon.

Animal encounters:

Police responded to a report at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday from Churchill Way of a bear on the porch of a trailer where garbage was being stored. Police issued a verbal warning and forwarded the complaint to the litter officer.

Other:

A man brought an upper denture plate he found on the sidewalk on Glacier Avenue to the police department at 7:52 p.m. Tuesday.

Crime Line

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for several vehicle riflings in the Back Loop Road area. Stolen items include several sets of CDs, a safety kit package and cigars.
