It has been a wonderful journey. My travels have taken me from my home in Central to Galena, the western part of Alaska down to Marshall over to Tyonek on the Cook Inlet. In the East from Deltana to Eagle, Northway, Tok, Glennallen, to Chitina and McCarthy. From Cordova to Haines, Tenakee Springs to Craig, to the rain forest of Annette Island and the beautiful village of Metlakatla, the last community of Alaska. To all the great Alaskans I have had the pleasure to meet and hear their stories, it has to be said that the Alaskan spirit is alive and well, proof of that was this election that brought out the best of what we as Alaskans want and stand for.
There can be no justice no resolve if the electorate chooses not to be a part of the future of Alaska. I believe it has spoken and put in place the best choice for governor. Frank Murkowski can and will lead this state.
To all the people that voted for me, "thank you." Rest assured the final chapter has not been written yet! I stand resolved to continue to fight for the equal rights for all Alaskans! I will stay in touch!
