30-plus authors at book signing
JUNEAU - Hearthside Books will host a multi-author book-signing at its Nugget Mall store from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17.
The signing is a celebration of Alaska authors, with more than 30 local and Southeast writers and their books in attendance, said Susan Hickey, one of Hearthside's owners.
"It's probably been 10 years since we've done one of these events," Hickey said. "There are so many authors in Juneau, and this is a chance for the community to meet them. These locally written books can also be signed by the author to make great Christmas gifts."
Featured writers will be Jean Rogers, Rie Muñoz, Bob Armstrong, Ann Chandonnet, Cathy Connor, Jeff Brown, Richard and Nora Dauenhauer, Ed and Nancy Ferrell, Scott Foster, Jim and Suzi Gregg Fowler, "The Fiddlehead Cookbook" authors, Randle Glass, Marge Hermans, Nick Jans, Mark Kelley, Mary Lou King, Frances Krause, Sally Lesh, Jason Ohler, Wallace Olson, Jim Ruotsala, Bridget Smith, Dennis Sperl, Rose Welton, Dee Williams and the Pioneer Book Committee.
The event was organized by Katrina Pearson, a manager at Hearthside.
