Theater

"The Glass Menagerie," Tennessee Williams' play presented by Perseverance Theatre, opens at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. Shows Thursday evenings at 7:30, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 6 p.m., with the exception of the final show Sunday, Dec. 8, which starts at 2 p.m. Tickets for Thursday and Friday are $17 for adults, $13 for students and seniors. Saturday and Sunday tickets are $22 for adults and $18 for students and seniors. Pay-as-you-can preview is Thursday, Nov. 14; pay-as-you-can show is Wednesday, Nov. 27.

"The Tragedy of King Lear," Shakespeare's play presented by Theatre in the Rough. 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday through Nov. 16. Tickets in advance at Hearthside Books are $14 and $16 at the door, $8 for students and seniors, $6 for kids under 12.

"The Sound of Music," Northern Light Junior Theatre production. Shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays Nov. 15 and 22, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays Nov. 16 and 23, audience sing-along show 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. Northern Light United Church. Tickets $5 at the door.

"Beyond Heritage: Native Playreading and Performance Festival," presented by Perseverance Theatre and the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council, opens Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at Perseverance. Nov. 19 and 20 shows at 7 p.m. at Perseverance. Nov. 22 show at 7 p.m. at the ANB Hall.
