Bookmark design contest winners to be awarded Nov. 23

The Juneau Public Library received more than 1,500 designs

The Juneau Public Library will celebrate National Children's Book Week on Nov. 17-23, with its annual Bookmark Contest Awards Ceremony. Come to the downtown library at 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23, and meet the artists. Contest winners will receive gift certificates from the Friends of Juneau Public Libraries Amazing Bookstore and Hearthside Books, as well as laminated copies of their bookmarks. The winning designs will be printed by the Friends of Juneau Public Libraries.

The Juneau Public Library received 1,562 entries for this year's Bookmark Contest. A panel of five judges reviewed each entry and chose one winner and two honorable mentions for each grade level.
