Don't use Constitution

Letters to the editor

I am an Alaskan, 30 years residing in this Great Land. I am a man married only once to a great woman, 20 years and growing.

I find it unconscionable that any American would choose to amend our U.S. Constitution to identify a minority and restrict that minority's rights. Our Constitution grants liberties to Americans. Please don't mess with my American Constitution to deprive the rights of a minority. If you don't want gays to have the same rights as the majority, work with the Defense of Marriage Act signed by former President Clinton.

Keep the gay marriage issue outside of our American Constitution. That foundation of our American liberty should not be amended to restrict the rights of any American. Amen.
