The Widowed Persons Program is pleased to announce a special public program on "Grief, Loss & the Holidays." It will be held at 5 p.m. on Nov. 16 in the Mendenhall Valley Public Library conference room.
Jamie McLean, LPC, a counselor in private practice, and Debbie Sis, Healing Touch practitioner, will be presenting this program for families and friends who have lost a loved one through death. The program will offer suggestions on how to navigate through the holiday season, which becomes a very difficult time for families who have experienced loss. Participants will learn how to create new traditions that pay tribute to the memory of their loved one.
This public program is sponsored by the Widowed Persons Program, which provides events, activities and support for both men and women of all ages who have been widowed. Program social activities include monthly brunches, picnics, dinners and support group meetings. The group also organizes special community activities such as museum exhibits, First Friday events including Gallery Walk, tours on the Mt. Roberts Tramway, Glacier Gardens and the Jensen-Olson Arboretum.
The Widowed Persons Program wishes to extend a special invitation to everyone who has lost a loved through death to attend this public program.
