Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
Leif Larsen, 18, was arrested for drunken driving and reckless endangerment at 12:42 a.m. today on Egan Drive near Twin Lakes. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. His vehicle was impounded.
Thefts:
Police arrested Kenneth Smith, 18, at midnight Wednesday downtown in connection with a burglary early Tuesday at Dehart's Auke Bay store. Cigarettes and alcohol were taken from the store and a window was broken during the robbery. Police, who spotted Smith during a patrol downtown, said he strongly resembled the photo taken from the store's surveillance camera. Police believe others also may have been involved.
A man reported at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway that eight University of Alaska Southeast banners had been stolen from flagpoles Tuesday night.
Police responded at 12:29 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway to the theft of a CD player from an unlocked vehicle.
A man reported at 10:03 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway that his white 1990 Plymouth Blazer was stolen from outside his house between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Drugs:
Police found a pouch that smelled like marijuana at 6:02 p.m. Wednesday near Mendenhall Mall Road.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A woman reported at 9:51 a.m. Wednesday from Willoughby Avenue that her vehicle had been keyed.
Underage drinking:
Police cited and released a man, 19, for underage drinking at 12:42 a.m. today on Egan Drive near Twin Lakes.
Police cited and released a man, 20, for underage drinking at 2:09 a.m. near Northwood Drive.
