In season: King and dungeness crab, halibut, coho salmon (June-Nov.), deer (Aug.-Dec., depending on area), mountain goat (Aug.-Dec., depending on area), wolf (Aug.-April), grouse (Aug.-May), ptarmigan (Aug.-May), ducks, geese, brants, swans, snipe, crane (Sept.-Dec.), moose (in Yakutat through mid-Nov.), coyote (Sept.-April), hare (Sept.-April), brown bear (Sept.-Dec.) and crow (Sept.-mid-Nov.)

Nov. 16: Youth Archery Shooting begins today, 6:30-9 p.m., Floyd Dryden Middle School. Will be held every Friday through March. Call Eric Lundquist, 789-3508, for details.

Nov. 17: Juneau Gun Club's Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot, 1/2 mile Montana Creek Rd. Events begin at 10 a.m.

Nov. 18: Sporting rifle meet, at the Hank Harmon Rifle Range, 9 a.m. registration, shoot at 10 a.m.

Nov. 18: Eaglecrest season pass-holder Ice Cream Social at the day lodge 2-5 p.m. Information, activities for kids, drawings for prizes and ice cream with toppings. Special invocation by Sig Olson for the upcoming winter season at 3:30.

Nov. 20: 4-H Fly Fishing Club meets, 7 p.m., Floyd Dryden Middle School. Led by John Lyman of the state Department of Fish and Game. Enrollment limited. Call 465-8749.

Nov. 20: Juneau Yacht Club meeting, 7:30 p.m. at the club.

Nov. 25: High power rifle meet, at the Hank Harmon Rifle Range, 9 a.m. registration, shoot at 10 a.m.

Nov. 25: Last day for discounted season passes for Eaglecrest Ski Area.
