Accountants to meet at T.K. Maguire's
The Alaska Capital Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants will hold their monthly luncheon at noon Thursday, Nov. 21, at T.K. Maguire's at the Prospector Hotel. The guest speaker will be James Lockwood, who will discuss CBJ's sucessfull implementation of GASB 34, the new governmental financial reporting model. Nonmembers and friends are welcome to attend. Even Start offers free preschool program
A parent is a child's first and best teacher. The Even Start Family Learning Centers in Gruening and Cedar Park are open to everyone wanting to learn English, study for the GED, improve computer skills, and much more. Donations for Nowlin being taken
Tom Nowlin was recently admitted to the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle for a heart attack.
A donation account has been set up in his name at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union. Donations may be dropped off in Nowlin's name at any branch of Alaska USA. All donations are appreciated.
