Juneau-Douglas High School wrestling - Brandon Pilot Invitational: Wrestling teams from across Southeast Alaska are expected for this annual tournament at the Juneau-Douglas High School main gym, starting times TBA. It will be Juneau's first home meet of the season, and one of just two home events overall for this season's Crimson Bear squad.

Juneau Yacht Club annual meeting - The Juneau Yacht Club will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at the club building at Aurora Harbor. Doors open at 6 p.m. The meeting will include election of new club officials, and an update on the harbor from the harbormaster. Info: Del, 789-7301.
Raincountry Flyfishers meeting - The club will hold a joint meeting with the University of Alaska Southeast Fly Fishing Club on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 7-9 p.m. in Conference Room 102 in the basement of the Novatney Building on the UAS campus. Holiday Cup 2004 indoor soccer tournament registration - Registration will be held through November 30 for the Holiday Cup 2004 competitive indoor soccer tournament. The tourney, to be played December 18-31, will have five coed divisions: Elementary (grades 4-5), Middle School, Junior (high school age 16-under), Senior (ages 17-20) and Masters (age 21-over). Coaches and managers interested in organizing a team must submit a roster by November 30. There is no registration fee; the tournament is sponsored by Juneau Community Schools and the law offices of Dillon & Findley. Youth open gyms - Meet from 8-11 p.m. on Saturdays at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School gym. Youth open gyms are free for students in grades 5-12. Info: Community schools director Joyce Kitka, 463-1700, Ext. 327.
Mount Jumbo preschool open gym - Preschool open gyms for children ages 1-6 and an adult parent or caregiver take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through April. There must be at least one adult present for every four kids. There is a $1 per child fee, or punchcards for $10 and $50 can be bought at the gym, which is located at 909 4th Street in Douglas. Tricycles, mats, balls, a Little Tykes climber, building blocks and a kid-sized basketball hoop are available. Zach Gordon Youth Center climbing wall - New climbing wall hours are 5-7 p.m. on Mondays, and 3:30-7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The climbing wall can be used by people of all ages. Climbers age 20-younger climb free, while adults 21-older pay $5 to use the wall. Youth-adult interaction is encouraged, so an adult climbing with a youth pays no fee. Basketball/volleyball court rentals available - The Juneau Community Schools program has basketball/volleyball court rental times available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School. Recreational badminton - Auke Bay group: This group meets from 8-10 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays at the Auke Bay Community School gym.
