ANCHORAGE - A 56-year-old woman died Thursday evening in a crash on the Sterling Highway.
Micki Kobylk of Sterling was driving south when she lost control of her vehicle about 33 miles north of Soldotna, Alaska State Troopers said.
The vehicle slid onto oncoming traffic.
It was struck on the passenger's side by a northbound pickup driven by 47-year-old Michael Montanye of Anchorage.
Kobylk died at the scene, and Montanye was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
