ANCHORAGE - An Alaska moose is back on the loose with the assistance of an Anchorage police officer.

KTUU-TV reported the bull moose got its antlers tangled in a rope Sunday morning on a bike path.

A woman who spotted the moose said it managed to work the rope free of a wooden post where it was initially caught, but then got tangled in a spruce tree.

Anchorage police Officer Horace Snyder came to the rescue, cutting the rope with a knife attached to a long pole.
