ANCHORAGE - Between 50 and 100 people gathered in Anchorage to protest a ban on gay marriage.
Anchorage was among cities across the national that held protests on Saturday, including Boston, San Francisco and Chicago.
In Anchorage, people gathered in front of the Atwood Building in downtown. The group, chanting and holding signs, then marched to nearby City Hall and then back to the Atwood.
Organizer Stef Gingrich says no one has the right to vote away another citizen's rights.
A similar protest, albeit smaller, was held in Fairbanks.
The protests are in response to a recent vote in California that banned gay marriage in that state.
