Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested John Joe McGillis, 51, on a charge of drunken driving at 11:55 a.m. Monday near Churchill Court in the Lemon Creek area. Police lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a boy, 16, on charges of failing to maintain a safe distance and having no proof of insurance after an accident at 3:40 p.m. Sunday on Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area. The 1989 Jeep the boy was driving struck a 1997 Ford. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2,000.

Hit and run:

• A woman reported at 8:18 a.m. Monday that her 2001 Chevrolet was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked at Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area. Damage was estimated at about $200.

Theft

• A woman reported the theft of her purple Eagle Creek backpack-style purse at 1:48 p.m. Sunday near Riverside Drive. The purse contained various cards, identification, a palm keyboard and $5.

• A man reported at 10:09 p.m. Sunday that a window of his GMC Yukon was smashed and his Blaupunkt stereo was stolen near Glacier Highway. The stereo was valued at $350. The window was valued at $250. At 7:34 a.m. Monday, a man reported that the window had been broken out of his Volkswagen and his Kenwood CD player was stolen near Glacier Highway. No loss estimate was available.

• A woman reported the theft of a pair of white Adidas shoes at 12:04 a.m. Monday near Hospital Drive. The shoes were valued at $89.

• A woman reported a package containing sheets of silver, saw blades and earrings was stolen at 11:15 a.m. Monday near South Franklin Street. The loss was estimated at $200.

• A woman reported the theft of $300 cash at 11:36 a.m. Monday near Glacier Highway.

Vandalism:

• At 3:36 a.m. Sunday, a man reported the rear window of his 1989 Dodge Caravan was broken out near Third Street in Douglas. Damage was estimated at $500.

• At 4:23 p.m. Sunday, a man reported five Austrian pine trees were vandalized in the area of Riverside Drive.

Minor consuming:

• Police cited a girl, 16, on a charge of underage drinking at 12:35 a.m. Monday near Gull Way in the Lemon Creek area.

Other:

• At 1:25 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of shots being fired near Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area and cited a man, 32, on a charge of fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons.

• Capital City Fire and Rescue crews responded at 10:30 a.m. Monday to a reported house fire in the 800 block of B Street after a neighbor heard the smoke detector. Twelve firefighters in two engines, an ambulance and a rescue unit arrived to see light smoke. They found an empty pot on a hot burner of an electric stove. Crews cleared the smoke and found no one in the single-story wood-frame building. They reported no damage and no injuries.
