Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Police cited a woman, 25, on a misdemeanor larceny charge after responding to a shoplifting call at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.
A woman reported at 3:57 p.m. Tuesday that a tire on her 1999 Ford was damaged by a 5-inch dart somewhere in Juneau.
At 4:24 p.m. Tuesday on outbound Egan Drive at Glacier Highway near Jordan Creek, police and rescue crews responded to an accident involving four vehicles. Damage was estimated at $8,000 to a 1998 Mercury, driven by a woman, 49; $8000 to a 2002 Honda, driven by a woman, 24; and $6,000 to a 2000 Plymouth, driven by a woman, 34. A Dodge pickup also involved in the accident, driven by a man, 50, was undamaged.
At 4:57 p.m. Tuesday on Egan Drive at Salmon Creek, police and rescue crews responded to a two-vehicle accident. Police cited a boy, 16, on a charge of failing to exercise due care to avoid the accident. The car he was driving was totaled. It reportedly struck a pickup, driven by a man, 38.
Police impounded a vehicle at 12:04 p.m. Tuesday at inbound Egan Drive near Riverside Drive after citing the driver, a boy, 16, on a charge of driving without a valid license.
A black zippered purse was turned over to police at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday after it was reportedly found somewhere in Juneau.
