Organization description: Boys and Girls Club of Juneau provides youth ages 8 to 18 with facility-based youth development programs that foster self-esteem, teamwork and leadership skills.

Years of service: Five.

Volunteer positions available: The museum is looking for volunteers to spend time with kids, including helping with homework, tutoring, doing arts and crafts, computers and playing games. Adult chaperones are needed for summer field trips. Volunteers are also needed to do general administrative work.

Hours: Ongoing and one-time volunteers are needed.

Training: Onsite training provided for volunteers.

Special requirements: Background checks will be done. An application form needs to be completed. Will work with court-ordered community service with court orders indicting offense.

In-kind donations needed: Snacks for kids, prizes for weekly drawings, art supplies, school supplies, board games and DVD movies (rated PG).
