A musical fairy tale at Northern Lights Junior Theatre

Posted: Thursday, November 18, 2010

Northern Lights Junior Theatre will feature Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," a musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale. With a cast of 56 kids, the production is the culmination of three months' preparatory work that includes historical research of the play, team-building and mentorship. Cinnamon Simpson directs.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Thunder Mountain High School. Sunday's show is a "sing along" performance in which audience members can dress as Cinderella characters and sing-along with the cast.

Northern Lights has been active in the community for the past 14 years, and produces two shows a year, a fall musical and a spring play. For more information, visit www.nljtheatre.org/.
