Juneau Superior Court Judge Phillip Pallenberg Wednesday set a possible trial date of Jan. 10, 2011, for three men charged with felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Adalderto Castaneda-Magallanes is charged with third degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, while Eric Coffee and Jose Luna are accused of aiding and abetting that misconduct. All charges are class 'B' felonies.

Pallenberg set a status hearing date of Dec. 21.

Also in Juneau Superior Court Wednesday, Judge Patricia Collins sentenced Lester Hunt to 11 years in prison after Hunt pleaded guilty to one count each of first- and second-degree burglary and violating the conditions of his release. Collins suspended six years of Hunt's sentence. In exchange for his guilty plea, one charge was not filed against Hunt and a misdemeanor was dismissed.

Hunt was also sentenced to 16 months in prison, 12 suspended, after he pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree theft stemming from a 2009 incident. As part of his plea, a second felony charge and a petition to revoke Hunt's probation was dismissed.
