Emma Good, 8, gets a chance to hold a green tree python, one of 40 snakes owned by Rich Culver. The python was among the attractions Thursday at the Community Wide Science Festival at Juneau-Douglas High School. Teachers Karen Goodell, Connie Tracy and Ben Collman organized the festival, which included presentations on topics ranging from wildlife biology to how the heart and brain work.
