Boss bias

Posted: Sunday, November 19, 2006

Which gender makes a better boss? A recent survey conducted by Development Dimensions International and Badbossology.com found that three-quarters of male respondents said they would prefer a male boss. Conversely, half of the study's female respondents leaned toward a male boss, while the other 50 percent preferred a female boss. Additional research done by DDI found that, though stereotypes are commonly present, women are equally successful at coaching direct reports, managing the job, and selling the vision to the company.
