Hospital to hold Great American Smokeout activities

Bartlett Regional Hospital and Teens Against Tobacco Use will combine efforts to present a Great American Smokeout activity Thursday at the hospital. Bartlett's tobacco treatment specialist, Lynda Koski, will be available at the center to answer questions from 1 to 2 p.m.

TATU will make posters that will be on display throughout the hospital representing the 1,200 people that die every day from illness related to tobacco use.

There will also be a display in the new Health Education Resource Center at Bartlett with multiple resources and materials related to Quitting Tobacco.

This is an opportunity to visit Bartlett's newly remodeled facility and consider making an attempt at quitting tobacco use by finding out the latest and best methods for attaining that goal on a day that is recognized nationally to instill motivation to quit tobacco use for good.

For more information, contact Koski at 796-8920.
