Mryan Sabrina Stone-Shepherd
Juneau resident Mryan Stone- Shepherd died Nov. 5, 2009, in Juneau. She was 47.
She was born in Torrence, Calif., to Margaret and Ron Stone.
She and her family moved to Anchorage and became involved in missionary work. They remained in Anchorage until 1975. In 1975, she moved to Haines to continue missionary work. In 1977, she and her parents left Alaska to become involved in evangelism tours. In 1990 she returned to Alaska with her parents and was living in Juneau since that time. In 2001, she opened her own beauty salon, Tangles. While living in Juneau, she also was a Fred Meyer clerk. She married Joseph Shepherd on May 8, 2004.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Stone.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Shepherd; her son Joshua Preston and his family; her brother Ronnie Stone; her father Ron Stone and many friends.
Services were held on Nov. 12, 2009, at the Alaska Memorial Cemetery and Mortuary.
