FAIRBANKS - Alaska state troopers said a charge of misdemeanor weapons misconduct is pending against a 17-year-old who left unloaded guns in his car at West Valley High School in Fairbanks.
He also could be expelled for violating policy against having guns on school property.
The school was locked down briefly Monday after administrators searched the car and found a rifle, pistol and ammunition the student had left in the car after weekend shooting.
School spokesman Bill Bailey told The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner students were in no danger.
