Next week the students will be passing out the ribbons to commemorate those who have died of AIDS as well as those who are still fighting the disease.
The local event is organized by Shanti of Southeast Alaska, a local AIDS umbrella organization. Bottom, JDHS freshman Eve Schroeder shapes a commemorative AIDS ribbon Tuesday afternoon.
