The Boys and Girls Club of Juneau (BGC Juneau) is a nonprofit youth organization that provides "a positive place for kids" to have fun and be safe. The club serves all young people between the ages of 8 and 18 with a program -based facility that includes a games room with recreation equipment and a PowerUP computer learning center with Internet access. The Boys and Girls Club's mission is "to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens."
Without the support of the local community, the Boys and Girls Club of Juneau would not be able to provide "a positive place" for Juneau's youth. The Boys and Girls Club of Juneau is located at 8825 Mallard Street (behind the Nuggett Mall). Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 7 p.m. during the school year and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer.
