Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Vehicle accidents:
A 1990 Subaru lost a tire, causing a 1989 Honda Accord to swerve and strike a 2003 Kia at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday on inbound Egan Drive in the Twin Lakes area. Damage to the Subaru was estimated at $500. Damage to the Honda was estimated at $1,500. Damage to the Kia was estimated at $500.
A 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier struck a 2003 Accura at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday at Egan and Riverside drives. Total damage in the accident was estimated at $300.
A 1985 Subaru struck a 1992 Ford van at 4:39 p.m. on outbound Egan Drive at Glacier Highway. Both vehicles collided with a 1989 Toyota and a 1999 Chevrolet. The Subaru and the Ford were totaled. The man, 64, driving the Subaru and the boy, 16, driving the Ford were cited on charges of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic.
A 1988 Honda struck a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu in the rear at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday on inbound Egan Drive at Glacier Highway. No damage estimates were available. Both drivers left the scene before police arrived.
Theft:
A woman reported her brown, leather wallet was stolen at 12:29 a.m. Thursday in the area of Front Street downtown.
Found property:
At 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, a canister from a bank's drive-through window was turned in to police for safekeeping.
