In accepting the contribution from Alaska Airlines, Capito noted the funds would go toward building an educational display at the Mount Roberts Tramway terminal, to show an eagle skeleton in full flight. Capito and Rountree expressed their sincere appreciation to Alaska Airlines for their support of this community education project.

Capito serves as president, and Rountree serves as program director for the Juneau Raptor Center. Justice is a male American bald eagle educational bird who has been with the Juneau Raptor Center for more than eight years. Justice came to the Raptor Center in April 2000, after losing a fight with another bird in the Salmon Creek area. His left eye was damaged in the fight and he is now blind in that eye.

The Juneau Raptor Center has been rehabilitating raptors and other birds for release to the wild for 20 years. The center provides and supports education and research on the natural history of Alaska's raptors and other coastal wildlife in Southeast Alaska.
