Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Thefts:
A small red backpack containing identification and papers was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 7:44 p.m. Thursday on Shattuck Way.
Four studded tires valued at $448 were reported stolen from the front of an East Street residence sometime last week.
A found purse was handed to an officer at 5:04 a.m. today at Ferry Way.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A man, 28, was arrested for criminal mischief and two counts of disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors, at 7:42 p.m. Thursday on South Franklin Street. He was taken to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Vehicle accidents:
A boy, 16, who was injured and taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital after a car accident at 7:43 a.m. Thursday at the Salmon Creek-Egan Drive intersection. The boy, who was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance, was driving a 1993 Ford Probe. He collided with a 1995 Plymouth Voyager driven by a woman, 45. The Probe was towed and the Voyager was driven away. Damage estimates were not available.
Injuries were reported after a car accident at 8:02 a.m. Thursday at the Egan Drive-Vanderbilt Hill Road intersection. A man, 19, who was driving a 1990 Jeep, hit a 2002 Dodge pickup, which was driven by a woman, 35. The 19-year-old was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and damage estimates were not available.
Other:
A man, 32, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with driving with an illegal license at 9:38 p.m. Thursday at Marilyn Avenue and Tongass Boulevard.
