Judgments
Zachary R. Brown, 21, was found guilty of drunken driving, a misdemeanor, stemming from an offense of Aug. 6.
Magistrate John Sivertsen sentenced him to a $3,000 fine with $ 1,500 suspended, 70 days in jail with 62 days suspended, a 90-day driver's license revocation, to enroll in, pay for and complete the Juneau Alcohol Safety Action Program and placed him on probation for one year with the standard conditions of release which include violating no laws, committing no crimes, completing the sentence, paying for the cost of incarceration and paying a surcharge.
Charla Bennett, 20, was found guilty of disorderly conduct, stemming from an offense of Sept. 21.
The original charge was misdemeanor assault.
Sivertsen sentenced her to a $500 fine with $500 suspended, 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended and placed her on probation for one year with the standard conditions of release plus 20 hours of community work service and anger management counseling through Tongass Community Services.
Larry Reiger, 45, was found guilty of disorderly conduct stemming from an offense of Sept. 24.
The original charge was assault.
Sivertsen sentenced him to 60 days in jai and a $50 surcharge.
A second assault charge stemming from an incident of Sept. 24 was dismissed.
Timothy Ackerman, 20, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Sept. 20. Sivertsen sentenced him to a $3,000 fine with $1,500 suspended, 33 days in jail with 30 days suspended, a 90-day driver's license suspension, JASAP and placed him on probation for one year with the standard conditions of release.
John Vavalis, 20, was found guilty of third-degree theft, a misdemeanor, stemming from an offense of Aug. 23. The original charge was felony first-degree vehicle theft.
Superior Court Judge Larry Weeks sentenced him to 12 months in jail with 10 months suspended, to pay $1,508.72 in restitution and placed him on probation for two years with the standard conditions of release.
A charge of violating the conditions of his release, a misdemeanor, stemming from an incident of Sept. 2 was dismissed.
Sean Cropley, 19, was found guilty of disorderly conduct stemming from an offense of Oct. 25.
The original charge was assault. Sivertsen sentenced him to a $500 fine with $400 suspended, 40 days in jail and placed him on probation for one year with the standard conditions of release.
Joann E. Henderson, 50, was found guilty of drunken driving stemming from an offense of Sept. 21. Henderson's blood alcohol level was 0.115 percent. Driving is prohibited with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent.
