... from the Mussers
The Musser family would like to say thank you to all the people, friends and family, in the community who have given so generously and sent heartfelt words and prayers. Thank you to all of the people at Catholic Community Services who donated their personal leave, spent time with our kids while we were in Seattle and donated food and money. Thank you to the staff at the schools that have supported our kids with understanding and kindness during their father's illness and his passing, and for their donations.
A special thanks to Christine Culliton, for helping keep us going. Thank you to Edy Rodewald, for staying at the house and taking care of our kids this summer. Thanks to Sabrina at Cornerstone Home Health, for being such a great nurse and good friend, and thank you to Leslie, Dale and Vickie, for being so gentle and caring to Jim during his last couple of weeks with us. Thank you to Dr. Urata, for always letting Jim know where he stood in dealing with his illness - he appreciated it. Thank you Jeff and Danielle, for being here when we needed you.
... for caring
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the many individuals that kept us in their thoughts and prayers during the loss of our brother and nephew, John Peterson. At his service, we were so blessed by special messages brought forth by Pastor Green and Associate Pastor Jerry Bennett, not to mention the beautiful and uplifting music by two wonderful sisters, Barbara Whitcraft and Mary (Tarr) Rogers; also the music by Angela Johnson and Jim Carter.
We also appreciated the kind gestures of Reggie Marvin, Wally Marvin, Carl Marvin, Fracis Marvin, Lucille Carillo, Fausto Paulo, Arlinda Miller, Bob Paulo, William Paulo and Andrea Laiti, for their willingness to help in our time of need. The thoughtful and encouraging words by Uncle Harvey Marvin were uplifting and so very much appreciated as well. A very special thank-you to Paula Sutton and Glenda Miller.
... to all the medical personnel who helped
We would like to thank the 911 operator, Capital City Fire and Rescue, the emergency room and critical care unit staff at Bartlett Hospital, Dr. Owen and Dr. Buley for their timely response and the care and transport for our mother and partner, Julia Wigg, on Oct. 20 and again on Oct. 30. She is at the University of Washington Medical Center being treated now.
Again thank you very much.
Romona Wigg, Christine Tolman, Alora Wigg, Fred Wigg and Chuck Helland
... to sponsors of 'Discover Hockey'
The Juneau Douglas Ice Association and youth hockey players of all ages, from five to 18 years old, would like to thank the sponsors of the "Discover Hockey" evening held at the Treadwell Arena this fall. Appreciation goes to the CBJ Treadwell Arena for ice time; Play It Again Sports, for lending equipment; and USA Hockey, for insurance. Nearly 30 new skaters turned out to try on skates and gear to experience the sport of hockey. This fall we have a record number of youth signed up for hockey with 201 skaters! Thank you to the sponsors and volunteers!

... to Juneau firefighters
I would like to express my thanks to the Juneau firefighters who responded so quickly to the fire at 10001 Bentwood Place.
If they hadn't been so quick and efficient, the fire could have quickly consumed the rest of the building.
They were extremely professional in all respects, and Roger's Auto Tune-up is in business today because of them.
Thank you very much!
