I read with interest the article stating that Mayor Botelho is planning to form a committee that would review building a new capitol as "a move to ward off threats to relocate the capital."
I suggest that the first item of business for this committee should be to commission a survey/poll of the people who live in the Anchorage and Mat-Su areas asking them whether building a new capitol in Juneau would change their views regarding a capital move.
If you really wanted to make it interesting, you could also ask whether building a road north out of Juneau would change their views regarding a capital move.
I am pretty sure I know the answer to both questions.
