Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Vehicle accidents:
A Ford pickup truck slid into a guardrail at 5:17 p.m. Sunday on inbound Egan Drive in the Mendenhall Wetlands area. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the rear passenger side door and the tailgate.
Police cited a man, 28, who was driving a 2002 Ford that struck a guardrail at 10:03 a.m. Monday on Egan Drive near Norway Point. The man was accused of speeding, failing to carry proof of insurance and driving without a license. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Damage to the guardrail was estimated at $1,000.
Hit and run:
A man reported at 8:15 a.m. Monday his 1991 Volkswagen Jetta was struck by an unknown vehicle the previous night near Nugget Place in the Mendenhall Valley. Damage was estimated at $600.
Vandalism:
A man reported vandalism to a soft drink machine at 1:21 a.m. Monday at the Mt. Roberts Tramway. The machine reportedly sustained a large amount of damage.
Lost property:
A woman reported losing a couple of boxes from the back of her truck at 5:17 p.m. Sunday near Alder Street downtown. She reported the boxes contained an assortment of decorative snowmen and Christmas lights.
Traffic stop:
Police stopped a man, 22, at 4:29 p.m. Sunday on a charge of driving without a license on Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area. Officers released the man and impounded the vehicle.
