Organization description: Providing instruction in basic reading, writing, math, ESL, computer literacy, GED preparation/testing, job search and vocational training in Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka and Southeast region.

Years of service: 29.

Volunteer positions available: The center is looking for ESL, GED and Homework Club tutors. Volunteers are also needed to cook for community dinners.

Hours: Regular and one-time volunteers are needed.

Training: Requires one personal and one professional reference, and a high school diploma or equivalent for GED tutoring.

In-kind donations needed: Children's books, school supplies, art supplies and computers.
