ANCHORAGE - Two men missing on a snowmobile trip near Skwentna have been found safe.
Sixty-five-year-old Dave Luce and 71-year-old Russ Bevans of Willow walked 7.5 miles to a cabin after their snowmobiles went through ice, along with their survival gear and communication devices.
They were picked up Wednesday morning.
Luce and Bevans had set out at about 11 a.m. Monday and went through the ice two hours later as they headed home.
The men were reported missing Tuesday afternoon and Alaska State Troopers began searching by helicopter.
Luce was transported to a lodge and Bevans was flown to an Anchorage hospital for evaluation and treatment for exposure.
