Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Shortly before 3 a.m. today, police arrested a man, 34, at an apartment house in the Mendenhall Valley for interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.
Thefts, lost and found items:
About 10 a.m. Monday, a citizen reported finding a purple and black, 18-speed men's mountain bike on Chelsea Court.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, a woman, 38, reported her child's chrome trick bike, a Ride Hard, had been stolen from Floyd Dryden Middle School.
About 9 p.m. Monday, a man, 44, was arrested at the cruise ship terminal on an outstanding Juneau Alaska State Troopers warrant for failure to pay a fine, and failure to comply with conditions of probation on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass. He was lodged at state prison. A man, 20, was cited for minor consuming of alcohol and released at the scene.
Capital City Fire & Rescue responded shortly before midnight Monday to a report of a fire at the city bus stop at the corner of Back Loop and Mendenhall Loop. People there had been burning paper to keep warm. They stomped the flames out before firefighters arrived.
Capital City Fire & Rescue responded shortly before 3 a.m. today to a fire alarm at the Wild Meadow Building, the job service building near Brotherhood Bridge. Firefighters could find no apparent cause for the alarm.
Shortly after 11 a.m. Monday, a man, 31, reported his 1991 Ford Explorer had been hit and run somewhere in Juneau. The vehicle sustained damage to its rear bumper.
Shortly after Monday noon, a man, 35, reported his 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup had been hit and run while parked on Fourth Street overnight. The truck sustained a dent to the left rear quarter panel.
On Monday, Alaska State Troopers investigated a report of human remains found at a remote site on the Kasaan Peninsula on Prince of Wales Island. The remains were originally discovered by loggers on Nov. 11. A U.S. Forest Service archeologist participated in the investigation. The remains appear to be archeological in nature and were not removed.
