Richard Stokes' Nov. 19 My Turn comments regarding municipal solid waste dismisses efforts at addressing solid waste on a regional basis as having "too many political obstacles for it to be our salvation," but cites no examples.

As one community keenly interested in and actively working toward a regional approach, the city of Craig sees no such obstacles in regionalization efforts to date, and will continue to work with Southeast communities, including Juneau, toward achieving the economy of scale that a regional solid waste solution offers us all.
