BIG LAKE - A 25-year-old motorist is accused of robbing a woman who stopped to help him near Big Lake.

Alaska State Troopers say Phillip Moore of Wasilla is in custody at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on charges of robbery, assault and theft.

Troopers say the 21-year-old woman reported Thursday that she stopped to help a stranded motorist.

Troopers say the motorist had a gun and confronted the woman, demanding her money.

According to troopers, the man then took off in his vehicle and was later identified by investigators as the suspect.

Bail has been set at $20,000.
