The Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears boys' 400-yard freestyle relay team not only brought home the gold medal at the 2010 Alaska State Swimming and Diving Championships, the team also set a new Region V and school record of 3:14.70.
Tyler Mickelson, Josh Anderson, Cody Schick and Nathan Messing, all members of the Glacier Swim Club, are the new 400 free relay record holders for Southeast Alaska after clocking a 3:14.70 in the event at the state meet, breaking a record held by Ketchikan High School since 1990.
