Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
At noon Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers in Craig received a report of an assault involving domestic violence. A man, 27, bit the arm of his girlfriend's daughter, 6, at their residence in Thorne Bay on Sunday. Investigation is continuing.
A man, 39, reported shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday that his car stereo, five compact discs and a black, hooded fleece jacket had been stolen from his parked vehicle on Ferry Way some time after midnight.
About 1 a.m. today, Juneau Police officers responded to the report of a noise complaint on Hayes Way and contacted several adults. A marijuana pipe was confiscated for destruction. Alcohol was involved.
About 8 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 43, was arrested at a business in Lemon Creek on an outstanding Juneau Alaska State Troopers felony arrest warrant charging second-degree forgery and third-degree theft. He was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
About 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 34, was arrested on Tongass Boulevard on an outstanding Juneau Alaska State Troopers warrant with $300 cash bail. The arrest was for failure to appear for arraignment on a charge of driving with a revoked or suspended license. The suspect was additionally charged with giving false information. He was lodged at state prison.
Shortly before noon Wednesday, a woman, 83, lost control and drove her vehicle off Glacier Highway. Her 1984 Ford LTD stationwagon sustained about $3,000 damage and several area mail boxes also were damaged. There were no injuries.
About 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 31, was issued a citation at Aurora Harbor for driving with a revoked or suspected license. His vehicle was left legally parked. A man, 24, riding in the vehicle, was served an outstanding Juneau Police Department summons.
A Coast Guard rescue helicopter crew transported an injured ship's pilot to Sitka for treatment early Wednesday morning after he fell down a ladder. The pilot, 53, fell 25 feet and landed on the tug Ardie while disembarking from the freighter Global Explorer. Crew members of the tug provided initial first aid, and an emergency medical technician from the Alaska state ferry Kennicott also responded. The injured man was transferred to the Kennicott in preparation for the helicopter hoist. He was picked up at 1:05 a.m. and transported to Sitka for treatment.
