ANCHORAGE - Alaska authorities have released the names of three state troopers involved in the fatal shooting of a fired hospital worker who returned to the facility with two weapons and killed an ex-supervisor.
Authorities say Lt. Dane Gilmore, Sgt. James Truesdell and Sgt. Daniel Cox fired their weapons Wednesday in a parking lot of Central Peninsula Hospital.
Killed was Joseph Marchetti, who was terminated a day before he fired numerous shots inside the hospital, killing Mike Webb and injuring Margaret Stroup, another ex-supervisor. Stroup remained in critical condition Saturday at an Anchorage hospital.
Troopers say they are waiting for autopsy results before releasing any details in the cause and manner of Marchetti's death.
Marchetti previously worked at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
