JUNEAU - The results of the Nov. 2 elections are nearly official.
While the goal was to certify all races by Monday, Division of Elections Director Gail Fenumiai said the state review board was still reviewing paperwork and that results would likely be certified today.
One notable exception: the U.S. Senate race.
A federal judge blocked certification, pending a lawsuit filed in state court by Republican Joe Miller over the process used by the state in determining write-in votes.
Miller's rival, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, ran as a write-in candidate. She has declared victory.
Miller has said he favors a hand count of all ballots. Once the race is certified, he will have five days to seek a recount.
