ANCHORAGE - The University of Alaska Regents are gathering in Anchorage to discuss the budget and take a vote.

The 11-member panel met Monday and today to talk about the operating and capital budget.

Public testimony was taken in the Lee Gorsuch Commons on the Anchorage campus both mornings. Top priority items include annual maintenance, a life sciences facility, and planning and design money for engineering facilities at both the Fairbanks and Anchorage campuses.

Regents have had several meetings with Gov. Sean Parnell and his staff to talk about the budget. The panel delayed action on the budget at an October meeting.
