'Unity Tree' lighting

Posted: Sunday, December 02, 2001

About 200 Juneau residents attended a "Unity Tree" lighting ceremony Friday evening at Centennial Hall. They enjoyed hot cider, candy canes, Santa and chorale singing. The lights will stay on until Jan. 24, when the 2002 Olympic torch is carried through Juneau. Many of those attending the ceremony Friday brought along cans of food for distribution to local charities.
