Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Thefts:
A Nokia cell phone was reported stolen at 1:56 p.m. Monday near Glacier Highway.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
Four tires on two vehicles were reported damaged at 7 a.m. Monday near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. Police were not sure whether two tires damaged on a 1997 Ford F250 and two tires damaged on a 1986 Chevy S10 Blazer had been slashed or whether the air had been let out of them. Police did not have a damage estimate.
A 2001 Jeep Wrangler was reported keyed at 8:29 a.m. Monday near Glacier Highway. The vehicle was damaged overnight. The vehicle sustained an 8-inch scratch on the driver's side.
Other:
The U.S. Coast Guard airlifted a 13-year-old boy from Juneau to Sitka around 6 p.m. Monday. The boy was suffering from a swelling of fluid in his head. Coast Guard officials did not know the cause of the boy's ailment, but he arrived in Sitka by helicopter in stable condition. He later was airlifted to a Seattle hospital. The Coast Guard aided in the flight because heavy fog Monday kept planes from leaving Juneau.
