Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

Two men, 45 and 34, were arrested about 8:30 p.m. Saturday for disorderly conduct after police found them fighting on Front Street. They were transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

Charlene Choate, 35, was arrested about 2 p.m. Saturday at a Mendenhall Valley motel for felony vehicle theft. She was transported to and lodged at the state prison.

A woman, 59, reported about 8 p.m. Saturday that her small, dark gray canvas purse had been stolen in the downtown Juneau area.

A woman, 39, was placed under citizen's arrest about 8 p.m. Saturday at Big Kmart after attempting to leave the store with $341 in merchandise. She was cited and released at the scene.

A woman, 48, reported about 3 p.m. that her purse had been stolen while she was in a store on Glacier Highway. Police did not name the business.

A woman, 34, reported about 11 p.m. Saturday that a Winchester rifle with a Leopold scope, valued at $545, had been stolen from her home sometime during the past six months.

A Black 1989 Ford Escort was reported stolen about 6 a.m. Friday. It was later recovered.

A man reported about 9 a.m. Friday his black nylon briefcase and contents were stolen from his unlocked car in the Sealaska parking lot. His briefcase contained his camera, day planner and some CDs.

A blue 1986 Ford Taurus was reported stolen about 5 p.m. Friday. It was later recovered.

Underage drinking:

Officers responded to a report of a party about 11:30 p.m. Friday on Second Street in Douglas. A boy, 16, was cited for minor consuming and misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was released to his parents.

Vehicle accidents:

A 1985 Black Saab operated by a man, 35, rearended a white Ford truck driven by a woman, 54, around the Switzer Creek intersection of Egan Drive and Glacier Highway. The Saab received $750 damage and the Ford $1,000 damage. The man was cited with failure to maintain a safe distance.

Hit-and-run incidents:

A man, 23, reported about 4 p.m. Sunday his 1994 Toyota Camry was hit while he was parked at a Mendenhall Valley nightclub Saturday night. The hood was dented.
