David Willard, 80, died Nov. 30, 2003, at the Juneau Pioneers' Home.
Willard was born and raised in Angoon. He graduated from the University of Washington. He worked for the Hood Bay Salmon Packing Co. for many years, and he served in the Army. He retired from the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs in Juneau in the 1980s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Robert Willard Sr.; sister, Elizabeth "Bette" Peterson; brothers, Richard Willard Sr., Paul Willard Sr., Robert Willard Jr., and Ronald James.
He is survived by his youngest sister, Angela (Patrick) Johnson; her children, Sharon Love and Carmen Davis of Juneau, and Phillip Daetwiler of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Daetwiler, Harold Frank Sr., Wally Frank Sr., Clifford Johnson, Franklin Johnson, Robert Dennis Willard and Pvt. Aaron Howard of the Marine Corps.
The pallbearers are Richard Willard Jr., Patrick Johnson, Timothy Love, Harold Frank Jr., Wally Frank Jr. and Robert Bennett.
The memorial and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Glacier Valley Church of God at 8497 Thunder Mountain Rd. The burial will be in the spring of 2004.
