Juneau-Douglas Fish and Game Advisory Committee to meet

JUNEAU - The Juneau-Douglas Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at DIPAC hatchery to hold elections for open committee seats.

The advisory committee has the following seats open for election:

• Charter Fishing: Saltwater (three-year term)

• Commercial Fishing (three-year term)

• Non-Consumptive (three-year term)

• Hunting/SportFish/Personal Use (three-year term)

• Hunting/SportFish/Personal Use (three-year term)

• Freshwater Charter (two-year term)

• Alternate (one-year term)

• Alternate (one-year term)

Those interested in filling a seat should attend the meeting.

The committee with also be discussing enhanced fish tickets with a presentation by staff from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

This meeting is open to the public.

The Juneau-Douglas Fish and Game Advisory Committee is a collection of community members from all user groups that meet to discuss fish and game issues and recommend changes to current regulations. They also represent the community before the Board of Fisheries and the Board of Game at board meetings.
